Pass the CCP exam
Earn your CMMC Certified Professional credential.

Submit for Tier 3 clearance
Start the required Tier 3 background determination. It can run in parallel with your next course.

Mark DeBry

Mark is a Lead CMMC Certified Assessor, Provisional Instructor for CCP and CCA courses, and President & Co-Founder of 1st Defense CMMC. With more than 25 years in IT, cybersecurity, and compliance, he brings real-world perspective from enterprise and federal environments, including senior roles as Head of Cybersecurity for IBM Global Services and Cybersecurity Director for Microsoft’s Federal Government division.
Mark has participated in more than 30 CMMC Level 2 assessments, so you learn how assessments are actually conducted, what assessors look for, and where organizations succeed or struggle. He holds the CISM and PMP certifications and a master’s degree in Information Systems Management.
